This is a day that comes only once every 4.12371134 years, which makes it a very exciting day indeed.

Today Belinda suffered yet another injury!
Yuko was in the carpark at Lane Cove looking for a space, when a woman in a CR-V reversed out of a space and crashed into Belinda!
The glass in the front right-side indicator was destroyed and some of the surrounding paint was chipped.

This one is for Mother! |
She bought another iPod Touch (an 8GB model). She will give me her old one which is a 16GB model.

In the evening we went to the Red Chopstick with Mother to celebrate Yuko's return.

Yuko was supposed to return from Japan today. But she called last night to say that she missed her flight! She arrive late at the airport because the train she was travelling on was late - an unheard of situation in Japan!
She therefore has to stay at least one more day and will attempt to get a standby ticket tonight.
In the morning I took Belinda back to the doctor at Artarmon where she had surgery recently. This was to have three new hub-caps fitted. One of these is being paid for by the insurance as it was damaged in the crash.

I saw this educational toy in a local $2.00 shop - not sure what this is teaching our children...

Before Yuko left she gave me the task of fixing Mother's pearl necklace. So as she's coming home tomorrow, I thought I'd better fix it and give it to Mother.

Then, I witnessed a robbery in progress...

It was the day of the meeting of the two queens. At about 6pm I went down to Milsons Point to gawk. There was a significant crowd, but not so many as to cause riotous behaviour.

Noswonky's Most Exciting Moments - No. 6 - Changing The Registration Label
It was time to change Belinda's registration label. It was a very exciting moment indeed!
And remember, you can watch all of Noswonky's most exciting moments with just one click.

I drove to Milsons Point and walked across the SHB to look at the big ship which is docked at the Quay - The Queen Victoria.

As I exited the driveway this morning, I noticed that a fallen tree branch was blocking half the road. By the afternoon when I got home, it was neatly cut into firewood...

Mother asked me to go to Dick Smith's to buy a radio for Lady Macbeth. After making the purchase, I was walking back to my car and I noticed this piece of art outside a nearby business. It might be a theme, or it might be a variation...

On the way to work, I saw a rainbow. It was very exciting...

It was time for Belinda to come home from the doctor, where she has been for more than a week.
She's been having surgery as a result of the incident which occurred in September.
Normally I would drive Yuko there in my car so that we could then drive both cars back. But Yuko is still in Japan, so it was time for me to take a walk.
First, I drove to the doctor's, which is located at Artarmon, and picked up Belinda. They told me that the true cost of Belinda's surgery was $4300 which made be feel good about only having to pay the $500 excess.

There was also some invisible damage to the suspension |
I left Mitsy parked there in the street, and drove Belinda home. Then, I walked back to pick up Mitsy. It took about 50 minutes. I took a route I'd never walked before - the new cycleway beside the Gore Hill Freeway.
Cycleway - with a dedicated walking lane |
Along the way, I discovered a lake which I'd never seen before, beside the freeway.

After my walk, I went to Mother's house for dinner. She had attempted to make Stuffed Chicken Wings like the ones they have at The Red Chopstick (or The Red Chopsticks). She used a recipe from a Thai cook book she borrowed from the library. The result was good, but nothing like the Red Chopstick.

In the morning I received a cryptic email from Yuko asking me to look in the fridge in the garage. So I did. There I found a cold package...

I also received two (2) letters from Yuko. They were documents which were entirely in Japanese for me to sign in the spots marked. I guess they could have been anything - but I signed them and posted them back to her.

In the morning, people at work crowded around the many TVs to watch a parliamentary broadcast (see coffee picture). Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of this remarkable phenomenon, but I guess it was better than working.

It was time for Mitsy's yearly checkup, so she spent today at the doctor. Fortunately the doctor is within a few minutes walking distance from work, so I dropped Mitsy in the morning and walked to work.
The doctor found a few problems with Mitsy, but the treatments were effective and she came out with a health certificate.

It appears that work has begun on the controversial Woolworths development in Lane Cove Plaza. The council has been fighting over this for years while the site has lain empty and barren.
Mother still uses a machine called a VCR, and she needed a new one. So I went looking and discovered that most manufacturers have stopped building these primitive machines. However, I was able to locate one (1) machine at Harvey Norman Chatswood. It turned out to be exactly the same as Mother's broken one, so once I had installed it, she was able to use it without further training.

Yuko has gone to Japan again for a couple of weeks of non-stop sushi, paperwork and dentistry. I drove her to the airport in the morning and dropped her at the departures concourse.

After significant difficulties, Yuko finally managed to install the software upgrade on her iPod Touch (Touchy). It includes an email client and Google Maps. At Epitome, we checked whether it knew about Riverview...
Today I removed lint using the lint shaver. Removing lint is fun... the best part being when you get a big ball of lint at the end...

Today the Japanese dance group performed at Darling Harbour and Yuko was hired to photograph them. They performed three times, but we were only there for the second and third performances which began at about 6pm.

When I was at school, my nickname was 'Noz'. So I was surprised to see that name painted on the road today when I was out walking.
It turned out that there was a logical explanation, which can be seen by clicking on the image...
