Work

When I arrived at work I discovered that someone had vandalised the sign I left on my desk on Monday.

Later in the day, a co-worker offered me a donut. You can't beat a donut!

Big Fat Moon

Driving home, I saw a big fat Moon rising in the east (as Moons do).

Big fat Moon

Camera

Yuko was curious about my old film-based SLR camera.

Canon AE1 - I bought this in 1985

I had already assumed that it would never again be anything but a museum piece. But Yuko wanted to actually try taking pictures with it! So on the weekend we bought a roll of film and I loaded it (I still remembered how) into the ancient machine. Then Yuko went out shooting on Tuesday.

Loading light-sensitive plastic film

Yuko picked up the developed film today. The pictures were not of a high standard...

Film

I suspect the film detached from the take-up spool and did not advance. This would explain how Yuko managed to shoot almost forty images on a 24-exposure reel.

I've loaded another film.

I too saw a shiny light in the sky and took some pictures of it. I've sent you a couple.

Very nice indeed. I've sent you back the original of the image above.

G'Day Peter,

You don't suppose the vandalised sign on your desk should be taken as a warning?

Have you managed to "annoy" someone at your new workplace?

And yes, you can beat a donut - but all you are left with is a sugary lump of damp crumbs.

Thanks for the original image. I've saved it away in case I ever need such a picture.

Matthew,

You talk about beating a lot.

G'Day Peter,

The obsession with beatings is probably a holdover from my work here at your previous place of employment....

What's the saying..... The beatings will continue until moral improves..... (GRIN)

Fortunately I was lucky enough to escape the beatings during my time there. But I remember well being threatened with physical violence on many occasions.
