I usually leave my tax return until the last minute. However this year I decided to lodge it early. So I lodged it today, even though it's not due until tomorrow!
I claimed only one deduction, but it's a big one! I just hope they allow it. If they do, eTax predicts that I will get a very nice sized refund.
In the late afternoon we drove over to...
...to see Sculpture By The Sea. Unlike last year's debacle, we took both our cameras and actually took some pictures!
Piece number 56 was a most interesting work...
After looking at artwork number 56 or rather, not looking at it, we overheard a group of women lamenting its absence, so I showed them what it was would have looked like had it not been absent...
One of them turned out to be a Japanese speaker and she engaged Yuko in conversation.
The following conversation took place...
Woman: Nihonjin desu ka?
Woman: Aussie desu ka?
Very amusing indeed!
We didn't walk the full length and see all the works as we were too hungry. So we walked back to the shops looking for a place to eat. We found the Bungabar, a Mexican place in a street off the main street.
The Mexican food was spicy and nice. Yuko drank two bottles of beer while I stuck to soft drinks.
As today is Halloween, we were not surprised to encounter some horrific sights as we wandered the streets of Bondi...
